Clarification on 457 to tss visa

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am a 457 visa holder and have already filed EOI for 190 Victoria by the end of October 2018. My current 457 is expiring on August 2019 and my employer is willing to raise TSS for me although I am not sure whether it is going to be a short or long term visa. Could someone help me understand if there would be any impact in my existing EOI application if I am granted TSS short term. Thanks in advance.

No.  A SUCCESSFUL grant for a TSS, **should**  not affect a EOI (? what visa ) application.

I state 'successful' grant.   Generally successful visa grants support the applicants good character.  Rejections are taken into consideration of course.

Thank you for response. I heard it's not possible to apply for PR if we are in TSS short term and also we have to wait for 3 years even though we are in TSS long term visa. Does that apply to us if we have an existing EOI?
