Hi everyone! Need help!
I'm an undergrad student from Pakistan. I just got accepted for a research position by an Australian University Professor. I have the following queries:
1. Which visa should i apply for? (because They are providing me stipend as well)
2. What are the chances if my brother applies for a visit visa along with me? (I have previously been to the US. He has not been anywhere)
Thank you in anticipation of your response.

Hi there

Is this a Masters or PhD research position (ie for after you finish your undergraduate degree)? If so, you will need to apply for a Student Visa (Subclass 500). If you're just coming to work, I would speak to the Professor or the University about which work visa they intended you to come on. Your brother's visitor visa application would be assessed on its own merits - he will need to show that he only intends to 'visit' Australia and has a life back in Pakistan that he intends to go back to.

Kind regards

Lisa

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for your response. I'm an undergraduate student and this is an undergraduate summer internship. Thank you for suggesting to ask from the Professor.

Best regards
