Applying For Australian Citizenship.

HI All

 

Basically I am applying for Australian Citizenship,But have a criminal record that happen 4 years ago in Australia with a (6 months

prison and a 2 year suspended sentence) but did no time in prison.I have been living in Australia since 1981.So am I better off seeing migration lawyer about my circumstances?Any advice would help me for my enquiry.

Considering the sentence yes I think it is worth at least a consult.

Yes, seek a MARA Agent with experience with criminal histories.

 

Technically you should be ok, depending on the nature of the offence, as you do not trip the 12 months prison requirement.
