To whom it may concern,
My name is Tim Hanson, an Australian resident. I meet my partner Sara in Australia in 2016 and we are both in the U.K. Currently. Sara is from Colombia, and is looking to study a Masters in 2018 in Australia. We are looking at the student visa currently, but I was wondering if she could enter Australia in November before her student visa is finalised to share time with me. If she acquired the visitor visa, would this interfere with her application for the student visa? I have looked at the government site and I am unsure what could happen. Any assistance you could provide would be most useful.
Kind regards
Tim Hanson

Her visiting on a VV will not interfere with the Student Visa application.
If she is in country when the Student Visa is granted, DIBP **may** apply a 'Must Exit Before Re-Entry on the Student Visa'

If you applied for student visa then there is chances of failures, but not with the visitor visa. You must consult with an expert regarding this.
