  1. Hello everyone, I am kind of new to this forum and I was looking for people from Bangladesh who are seeking partner visa information or already acquired one and bumped into this topic. This topic seems to me informative but seems like it is inactive for quite a while now. Does anyone have any update regarding how long averagely it's taking for Bangladeshi applicants to get a final decision? I heard from my migration agent at the beginning of this month that a new law is about to be implemented regarding partner visa which may somewhat gonna be even more lengthy process along with the already existing cumbersome & hectic process. So, I rushed in with application and almost prepared all the documents which are required for initial submission along with the application. But on the evening of 12th April I was notified by my agent that the new law is postponed till further notice by DIBP. But I lodged my application anyway through my migration agent on 16th of April. My case is somewhat straightforward but slightly complicated. I still need to submit so many other documents within a week or two and still need to do biometrics (which was asked to be done automatically). Lets see how it works out.
  2. My migration agent confirmed me yesterday evening about the new law and asked me to gather all the necessary documents ASAP as I was planning on to apply within this week. Wish me luck so I can apply before the change comes into act.
  3. Thank you so much to both of you for prompt response. I'd be going for Online application then as it is available for Bangladeshis as well. Cheers.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I would really appreciate if any of you can help me with appropriate info. I am planning to visit my Australian Citizen wife for 4-6 month at the end of October. As our baby is due in late December 2016. I am wondering which method considers to be swiftest process regarding visitor visa(tourist stream)? Online or paper application? Just FYI, I'll be my own sponsor and will be applying from Bangladesh as I am a Bangladeshi citizen with Bangladeshi passport. I totally understand that everyone's circumstances are different and the visa process depends on the individual case officers. Still, if anyone have any previous experience of how long it took for them to acquire the final outcome(either visa application was accepted or rejected) applying either online or paper from Bangladesh/high risk countries? I know I don't have much time left to apply but I can't apply before 25th October in no way as I will be out of the country till then. Thank you so much in advance.
