  1. Thank you for confirming that. Is there any occasions when Immigration contact you directly to say to apply earlier than the 24 month mark?
  2. Hello, My husband was granted his Onshore Temporary Partner Visa 820. We applied for this visa on 15 November 2019 (so nine months processing), after him having arrived to Australia on his PMV. I am a little confused as to the next step of the 801 visa. Do we submit this now, or do we wait to be invited by immigration to submit? When I started the application in immi, it asked, Has 24 months passed since you applied for the visa? - I am assuming this is the 820. In which case no, only nine months. Answering no meant I couldn't continue filling out the application. But do we wait 24 months on his temporary partner visa before submitting the 801 application? I am finding the process a little difficult to understand. Any explanations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Hailey
  3. Thanks very much Aussie_83 - we've only just started with the uploads, so I'll wait till we are in to the processing before uploading. At that point I can add an AFP for both of us. Many thanks!
  4. Hi AFV, Thanks for your prompt reply! That is very helpful, as I thought he would have to do the overseas police checks again, which would be hard without going there. Thanks again for your advice! Cheers, H
  5. Hi everyone, I'm working on uploading the documents in support of my husbands' 820 and 801 visa. He was on a prospective marriage visa and on submission of the partner visa application, the BVA was granted. My Question: The partner visa requests Character Evidence, but I am not sure when I should provide these, given that police checks are only valid for 12 months. We submitted police checks last year when they were requested for the PMV (which are now beyond the 12 month period). Should I wait until they are requested, given that processing time for the 820 is 20 months, and may be not valid by the time the visa is reviewed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
  6. Hi everyone, I wanted to check if anyone has married an Australian citizen while on a student visa 500? And if this is legal? As far as I can tell there is no impediment to marry, although this is the only information that I have found that gives that indication: ´You don't have to be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia to legally marry here.´ - Found on the Australian Government, Attorney General´s website. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
