Hello. Like the title says I believe I missed a call from the department. It was from a Private number, no way to call back. I'm from Mexico, been 7 months since DOL and almost 3 since RFI. Processing in Canada. People mentioned scam calls, but here they are always with a number and they will keep calling. In this case I just had that single call. Is there any way I can reach them? Or someone know if they will call back soon? What are your experiences with this?
Hey guys! A friend of mine recommended this forum. Thank you for taking the time to read! Ok, here are the facts of our relationship: - He is Australian and I am Peruvian. - We met online July 2015 and started talking because he was going to come to my country and wanted to meet people. - He came in July 2015 and we met in person briefly. - He went back to Australia and we kept talking daily and formed a relationship. - I went to Australia in December 2015 and stayed three weeks. I met his family and friends. - In July 2016 he came to Peru and we traveled a bit and he met my family and proposed. We discussed it and agree that I should move to Australia. And now we are talking visa. We heard that the visa process is a nightmare and we are a bit in the dark here so I just need a little push in the right direction. What would be the best visa type for us that will allow us to be together as soon as possible (long distance sucks)? What are the time lines for this visas or alternatives? Is there a way to apply from Australia? How so? Do I travel with a tourist visa, get married and apply for the partner visa? Any tips or recommendations for this process? Thanks in advance for your input!
So last September I came to Australia on a working holiday visa. Around February this year I started seeing my boss who had been separated from his wife since November 2015 and they are still in the process of divorce - she just needs to sign but he reckons it will be cleared in the next two months. I had to fly home in April due to a family emergency (UK) so we have sustained a long distance relationship since then up to now, meeting up in Asia every few months. I have looked into a relationship visa but apparently we need to have lived together for 12 months to be eligible even for a temporary - at least that's what it says on the website - unless anyone can clear that up or if there's any way around it? The other option would be a prospective marriage visa.. Would his divorce need to be finalised at the time of lodging and would there be anything else stopping it from being granted? Would I be able to work on the prospective marriage visa? I have grandparents and my uncle lives out in Australia, but apparently I can't get in using my connections with them because they or I need to be dependent on them in one form or another. Please advise, thank you!
Hi Guys, I'm planning on proposing to my girlfriend next month. However, I was going to start a a Partner Visa application. And we want to move to Australia December this year. Should i just wait till I propose and complete the Prospective Marriage Visa or start now on the Partner Visa? Is it possible to change Visa type once you start? Any hints or recommendations will be appreciated :-) Thanks
