  1. Hi, I'm a Canadian Permanent Resident working for a US based company remotely from Canada. We have partnered with a local AU team to launch the service and therefore I need to meet with and train the local team. Since my company has recently registered in AU, which visa category would my trip fall under - Work or Business Activities? Would appreciate some guidance and help. Regards

  3. Hi, I need help in deciding right visa category. I am business owner and my company provides an IT services to an Australian company and I am invited for an upcoming event in Australia. My company here in India is looking after digital marketing side of the event. I would be traveling to Australia to attend this event and may stay around 15 days. now should I apply subclass 600 (Business visitor stream) or subclass 400? I was reading alot on Au embassy website, it says Business Visitor Visa This visa is for the temporary entry of people for business purposes. For applicants seeking to engage in business visitor activities including:- Making general business or government enquiries Contract Negotiations Government visits Attending conference, seminars, Job interviews or Professional examinations You cannot work for or provide services to a business or organisation in Australia or sell goods or services to the public. If you are intending to do short-term work in Australia you should apply for the new Temporary work (short stay activity) visa (subclass 400). I am a business owner here and My company provides services to this Australian company and have business relationship for 3 yrs now. So which is right category for me to apply for visa? Bit of a history - I had applied for subclass 600 (Business visitor stream) in 2014 and it was granted with multiple entry, I have visited Au 3 times during my visa validity and attended the event conducted by my client there. during one of my visit, I was pulled out from immigration check line at airport and I was questioned by an officer for about 15 min, I answered all his questions and he let me go, but he also said if I intend to travel again to Au for same purpose, I should get right visa as subclass 600 (business stream) is not sufficient. Now, I am bit confused about right visa category to apply in my situation. Hoping for some help here
  4. Hello, I recently applied for the Visitor Visa- Business Stream. I am going for 2 weeks for a church conference, the conference begins on the 24th to the 31st, but I would like to go from the 16th to the 31st, as I would also like to utilize my annual leave at work. I have been attending online services with this church since december 2015. I sent the below supporting documents with my application, but do you think there is something more that I should have added. I only found this forum now and have been getting very nervous about what I sent and think I should have sent something more. I am an indian national, who came to work and study and now reside in Canada. Is it possible to send any supporting documents once the application has already been sent? These are the supporting documents I sent along with my application: Annexure I - Letter from Me Annexure II - Letter of Invitation Inviter's passport Notorized copy of my Passport Photo Bank statements Credit card statements Pay slips Letter of employment verification PGWP - Post Grad work permit Aadhar card - Indian id card BCID - canadian ID card TRU Certificate - school completion certificate. Extracts of text messages between me and the inviter scheduling online services. Your help will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Is it closed for good or is it in the process of making changes? Does anyone know what are the criterion to be able to live in Australia on this visa? Regards Hang
  9. The Migration Review Tribunal and the Refugee Review Tribunal The Migration Review Tribunal (the MRT) and the Refugee Review Tribunal (the RRT) provide an independent and final merits review of decisions made in relation to visas to travel to, enter or stay in Australia. The MRT reviews decisions made in respect of general visas (e.g. visitor, student, partner, family, business, skilled visas) and the RRT deals with decisions made in respect of protection (refugee) visas.
