  1. Hi all, Can someone give me a list of exact tests that are conducted in the medical assessment conducted by Bupa? Are bloods taken? X-Rays, mri scans, ultrasounds, swabs or other things etc? Also, how is the general medical assessment experience? Are they trying to look for something wrong with you so they can refuse your visa? Or are they highly professional etc Look forward to hearing from you and those (or their partner) who have been through this. I am so glad there is a community here, it makes me feel better. Thanks again.
  2. Hello, I am an Australian citizen currently living with my American husband in Pennsylvania. I was assessed before I came to the USA ( 5 yrs ago) and put on a permanent australian disability support pension. I was assessed by an independent team centerlink contracted (who I think may have been bupa before they changed their name) even while abroad I receive government assistance from Australia. Permanent disability means I do not have to re apply every few years or lodge any regular forms. I have had my green card for a little over 3 yrs now but I'm finding my health issues declining and I'm needing more and more help. I've decided I need to return to Australia permanently as I can't afford medical treatment here and being on a sponsored Visa i can't get help from social security for anything. My husband is my soul caregiver, I have no family in Australia who are able care for me. I need daily help just to shower and get dressed. My husband does all the shopping, cleaning and has to take time off work most days to bring me lunch or to check on me because I've not answered the phone and yes his boss isn't happy about him needing more and more time off. We are looking at applying for the subclass 836 but I'm told it's not as simple as it sounds but no Visa is simple! Getting a sponsor for my husband isn't an issue, if I don't qualify. Does anyone know what our chances of being approved for an 836 would be? Is there better option for us? All I know is I am dependent on him, I can't even make the flight home to Australia without him being there to helping me, many times just getting out of my seat I'll need assistance and honestly going to the lavatory during the flight, little easier when he is standing outside the door ready to assist me!. I'm not looking for a cheap Visa I'm looking for my best option that allows my husband to be with me and be able to continue looking after me. I'm only 43 I'm not ready for a nursing home! Please help!!
  3. Hi there, my friend is soon going for his medical to apply for PR. He's currently on 457. He has a small to medium sized hernia on his belly. Do they check? Could this be a problem? Should one be upfront about it? Thank you!

    Request For Medical

Hi I am new to the forum but wanted to see if I could get some guidance. I am an Australian citizen and have been with my husband for 14 years (married for 6). We have 2 children (aged 8 & 3) who are both citizens by descent. We submitted the application for my husbands partner visa from U.K. on 1st March and finished uploading docs (except medical and police checks) about two weeks later. On 7th April we had an email requesting that we get police checks completed and that he gets medical done. He had the medical on Tuesday this week and we are waiting on results to be lupliaded as well as police checks to arrive now. This seems to have happened much quicker than I was expecting. Could this mean that our wait won't be as long as the 10-14 months currently being quoted as we have a very straightforward case? Has anyone else had their application processed quickly? How long after the medical was submitted is visa usually granted? Thanks
  5. Hi all, I have not yet submitted my application or paid for that matter and am still putting together all the supporting documents. I'm aware that the upload system is quite time consuming and limiting so am wondering if people generally upload all their documents in one go or over a period of time (days, weeks?). I'm not referring to things like medical check and police check, which as far as I understand can be done later. However, for supporting documents like letters, stat declarations, photos, joint bank accounts, etc - do you upload all as soon as possible after paying? Thanks very much for all the help everyone!

    Medicals For Partner Visa

Hi all, After I applied online and attached most of the evidences, under the "View Health Assessment" it shows that "This person is required to complete health examinations for this visa application". I can see many different cases stated that you have to wait for an email from CO or you can organize medicals. If someone can tell me, should I wait for CO email or to organize medical. Thanks
  7. My question relates to form 26 "medical examination". I have had feelings of anxiety and depression in the past but have never taken time off work and never been on medication. I received a print out of my medical record and neither were listed. I have however received treatment in the form of group sessions where I was able to talk about my feelings, under the supervision of a psychiatric nurse. This is recorded in the communication sent to my doctor, along with reported observations of low mood and feelings of unhappiness but no diagnosis of a disorder. Should a condition be declared when there is no formal diagnosis? My doctor said he would support me in stating my mood is stable. Should I attach documentation from him to my form or would they contact him directly for further information? Is it likely that I would be referred for further assessment? How exactly do the examining physicians follow up on such information? Does anybody have an understanding on the process? Any feedback welcome - thanks!

  11. Hi Everyone, Love the forum great idea, it's so hard to get good advice. My question, my Thai wife is pregnant and our doctor has advised not to fly until after our baby is born. We applied earlier this year while back in Thailand for our Partner visa which was deemed a valid application so that is in the long long process cue. We also applied for another visitor visa so she could come back to Oz with me, it's a multiple entry visa for 12 months. Because we can't fly out of Oz for the compulsory 3 month leave Oz comeback rule i rang Immigration today and they offered the above two visa's. Love to know what is the best visa to use, just extend the visa she has or apply for a Medical Treatment visa. Appreciate everyones help.

Please find attached medical information for you to undertake your medicals and x-ray tests only with our registered panel doctors/radiologist.
