Hello, I had Australian PR subclass 189 but due to some reasons I couldn't move to Australia permanently. I just visited once for few days. In Oct 2018 my PR has expired. I want to reactivate it or apply for a RRV. Could someone please guide me through this ? My Wife and kids passports are now changed. They are now European Citizens. They were also included in the PR with Indian passports. But now they have new passports. I am really not sure how to proceed now. Any help is highly appreciated. Best Regards
My family and I have made the decision to move from South Africa to Australia. Some quick details about me: - aged 24, with my 27 year old fiance and our 3 year old son - completed a 3 year programme for advanced web and business systems - a web developer, able to work on premises or remotely - have been doing full-time contract and freelance work since January 2018 - raised in an English home Could anyone please share their experience with the following visas: - Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) (points-tested) stream - Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) - Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) - Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) I have been browsing through the homeaffairs.gov.au website, and feel rather overwhelmed by the amount of information. I would greatly appreciate any advice. I want to understand everything before beginning our application (which will probably be early next year).
Hi, I'm on the verge of getting my Skilled - independent (Subclass 189) visa and planning to settle in Canberra ACT. However, as most of the jobs in Canberra would be in government sector and would require Australian citizenship, is it a wise decision to choose Canberra ACT over other cities in Australia? If not, then which Australian city would be best for a permanent residency visa holder? Any suggestions/advice will be highly appreciated. Cheers, Swaps
I am potentially having my visa refused because my daughter has a form of autism (global development delay). Need advice help with what i could do to ensure i can stay and dont lose the life that I have built here. I'll try and quickly explain. So i have applied for the 189 skilled visa. My partner is a registered Nirse and the primary applicant and I am the defacto partner and i work in outdoor education. Have been in australia for over 18 months now living in wollongong. Have been on the bridging visa for 6 months now. I am here with my partner but my daughter is at home in england with her mother and her partner who is basically her step father. the relationship between us all is great. They have another son together so have a nice family life. There is no intention for my daughter to come and live here. she will always live in england with her family there. She will visit me for holidays and i will fly home to visit her also, but her life is in the uk. But due to my daughers learning disability, and the potential costs of support she would need if she lived in australia immigration have explained that it does not go in favour of our application. I have explained previously that my daughter is not coming to live here. But that hasnt made a difference. I obviously need something legal. I understand that if my daughters mother dies that would make me her gaurdian so legally would be my responsibilty. But even in that situation she would still stay in the uk with her step father, and all of her cousins brother friends and grand parents. But how do I justify that legally to immigration? I have researched and currently cant find a solid answer and im running out of time. Is for her to be legally adopted in the uk by her step father really the only way? Can custody be completly given to her mother? Is there another way? im stuck, and help would be amazing
