Greetings to you alll 👋, I am a Software Engineer and I am about to apply for 462 Visa but I have heard that you have certain limitations when you land in Australia with it. The goal I am going for, is that I would like to work for a year (maximum two) in Australia as a Software Developer. It would be amazing if someone who has been there before with the same Visa or someone who has better knowledge, give me some feedback on the subject. For instance: Is it valid that you have to change employee every six months? Is there a better option that I could explore, given that I have a masters degree and I am have working experience for 4-5 years now? Is there some service I can call that they can explain to me a little bit better what I should be doing? Thanks so much for your time and help. And please excuse me in case the place or the question is in an innapropriate place. All the best, Christos
Hi Everybody, I have spoken to you before in a post that I uploaded a few weeks back regarding my situation about applying for a WHV for Australia. I have an update from the VACCU I am going to copy and past it on here for you to read. Dear Mr S****n The Notice of Intention is to inform you that the Department has information that you do not meet the character requirements for a visa to Australia and we are giving you natural justice by informing you before a final decision is made. This is your opportunity to provide the department with any further information that you wish the department to consider. Yours sincerely I have a few questions I was wondering if you could help me with if that is ok? 1. What information would help me get a positive discussion if any at this point ? Or is it a done deal now ? 2. IS there any point in re-applying for the WHV if this one is refused ? 3. I know this may not be your area of expertise but do you think it is worth applying for a WHV in NZ now ? And will a refusal from Australia effect this ? 4. Does a refusal of a WHV mean I am likely to be refused any visa I apply for for Australia ? Thank you for offering to help me. This means so much to me and I am so disappointed about my actions leading to this possible refusal.
Hello, I'm looking for some advise on a problem i'm currently having in regards to my visa application for Australia. I have submitted a application for a WHV and it has been referred to the VACCU for further assessment due to my criminal record. This is fine and is what i expected although i wasn't expecting it take this amount of time (currently 2 and a half months ). The problem i have is that I am travelling with my partner around south east Asia and we are running low on funds, she has been granted her WHV already. So my question is can I apply for a ETA and go to Australia on this visa while i wait for my WHV and obviously not work an my partner can work to support us while we wait to find out what the outcome of my WHV is? If this is a negative and i get refused the WHV my Mum has said she will lend us the money to travel Australia on the ETA and we will pay her back when we get back to the U.K. Any help on this would be much appreciated and any ideas about other ways i could still travel aus if i get refused a WHV would be as well. thank you
Hi everyone. I'm looking for some advice on reapplying for a visa. I was refused in 2014 on the grounds of my criminal record and I did not pass the character requirements. But from the refusal email it really doesn't sound like I was far off. I have heard of people with far worse records than mine been granted 1st time. So I wonder if I didn't put my case across good enough. I was wondering if it would be a waste of time reapplying either this year or even waiting until next year. Is it possible I would be granted a 2nd time round or if I'm refused once are the chances of been accepted a 2nd time slim? Does anyone know of any similar situations? Any advice would be great. Thanks, Steve.
