Addressing a visa cancellation due to change in circumstances

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just filling out the 47SP form online and would appreciate some help regarding the visa history question:

Quote

Has the applicant or any person included in this application ever had a visa cancelled?

My fiancee was formerly in Australia as the dependent on her ex-husband's Student TU Subclass 500 visa. They broke up and she left Australia. A month later she used form 1022 to notify the department of the change in circumstances. The department responded a few months later with a notification of decision saying they had cancelled the visa.

I was going to write the following explanation of the situation in the 47SP:

Quote

The applicant was in Australia as the dependent on her ex-husband's TU Subclass 500 visa. The relationship ended and the applicant started divorce proceedings. The applicant then used form 1022 to notify the department of the change in circumstances. The department responded with a notification of the cancellation of the visa given that the applicant no longer satisfied the conditions of the visa.

Is that sufficient? Is there anything else I should say or say it in a different way?

Thanks again!

Thats fine.  IMMI have it all on record, and as it seems a very procedural cancellation, so your short explanation is sufficient.
