Visa proof

Recommended Posts

My partner must prove that he didn’t enter Australia in 2017.  A credit application has been blocked with Telstra because they say he has a debt from 2017. His first visa ever for entry to Australia was granted in September 2018. The debt cannot be his because he had no visa in 2017 to be here. How do we prove this?

Any registered MARA Agent can get you a "BAT" border activity transcript within 48 hours. You can apply for same yourself, be sure to include copies of your passport and the dates in question. But thats not enough.  You must get the Bad Credit Report cleared. Arguing with the refusing credit provider is pointless, as long as you have a bad credit record on central file.

Was he onshore anytime before 2017?

The registration of defaulted debts etc with our Credit Reporting Agency takes months.  Even though the reporting date may be 2017, the actual default date could be up to a year before.

I would secure a copy of his Credit History from https://www.equifax.com.au/.  That will show when the default was lodged, by who and the terms. Then get the bad record reversed.

You can get incorrect/false bad credit history reports reversed or erased, companies like www.creditcleanaustralia.com.au I hear good things about.

Once you get a clean record confirmed from Equifax, then re-apply for the loan.
