Partner Travelling on Vistor Visa

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have applied for my Partner Visa (309/100) in May 2019. I visited my husband in Melbourne for almost 2 months  on a Visitor Visa. Now, I want to schedule another visit. How much gap should be there between two consecutive trips to Australia on a Tourist Visa?

The general rule is you need to spend an equal amount of time off shore, as you just did spend onshore. So in your case, 2 months.  But this is not a hard and fast rule for people with under 12 months onshore.   You can apply for a new visa the day you exit Australia.  As you have a 309 in processing, DIBP are usually more flexible with the sponsored partner visiting, as you ultimate intention is made known.

I suspect you will be granted a return visa as soon as you want.
