I just though I would tell you that my Agent has told me the Assessment times have changed.

She phoned the DOA last week to check on a few Spouse Visas and they said the processing times are now 15 Months.

I am now 7 Months down the track applying for my Thai wife, and they have asked for a complete repeat of all the information I supplied that has got out of date like messages and bank accounts.

So I recommend you start preparing to refresh the information every 6-8 months or so, so the assessment can take place.

i would just send this updated information in.

* New photos.

* Bank Accounts.

* Messages.

* Wills.

etc etc.

This is a great addition, I was wondering how I could buy a house in Thailand

You can't own property with land in Thailand.

You can but a condominium (Apartment) that is applicable to a foreign purchase.

You will have great difficulty selling it again.

Dear Willy,

Foreigners cannot own land in Thailand. But there are alternative solutions such as a long term lease and ownership of the building,  superficies or setting up a BOI corporation and the land and building is corporate headquarters. Sunbelt Asia Legal Advisors has assisted thousands of clients and we look forward to finding a solution for you
